Our Work

Refugee Week

Founded in 1998, Refugee Week is the UK’s largest festival celebrating the contributions, creativity and resilience of refugees. Using the arts, culture and education, Refugee Week aims to create spaces where the contributions of refugees are celebrated, people from different communities enjoy positive encounters and refugee experiences are shared and understood in new ways. Refugee Week is an umbrella festival, and every year hundreds of organisers hold hundreds of events across the UK, including in theatres, galleries, museums, cinemas, schools, universities and faith and community settings.

Counterpoints Arts coordinates the national Refugee Week partnership and produces a flagship Refugee Week programme at some of the UK’s most prestigious cultural venues.
